Dirty Beastie by Wahl - great bubbles for mucky pups

A bottle of bright orange gloop arrived in the bathroom this week. Written on the clear plastic bottle in big letters was the phrase ‘Dirty Beastie’. This sort of hinted it maybe for us.

Flood tiles, bedding plants and more Roman Frontier work discovered.

Charlie inspects one of the new art works

After what seems like weeks of wet weather, we finally have a dry day and head off to the park to stretch our legs.

Loads more dog fluff waiting for the nesting birds

Checking the latest weather here in the north of England it would appear that it is almost 26C (79F). So mum has decided we need our fur clipped.

Nastershum planted in a rock wall

Stretching our legs took some organising this week due to the wet weather and other commitments. Dad had been away towards the end of the week so had loads to catch up with. However, we did manage to get to revisit our walk along the River from Dalston to Denton Holme. Cummersdale Print Works Our [...]

Fishing boat in Maryport harbour

Last weekend dad went away to work in London,  so this week was payback time and he had a real treat in-store. Heading west on the A596 for around 25miles we arrive at the coastal town of Maryport. Parking in front of the Lake District Coast Aquarium, known locally as the  Maryport Aquarium, mum paid [...]

Fire show puddles

After many nights of being scared by the bangs and pops of fireworks we ventured outside this afternoon for a walk to stretch our legs a bit. With big grey clouds on the horizon, we took a short car journey towards the town and our usual walking venue of Bitts Park. Last night the annual [...]

The Sea - Allonby Coast with Robin Rigg Windfarm in the distance.

Earlier today we headed west to Allonby on the coast of Cumbria just south of Silloth.  Our approach to the area was met with a bit of rain, however once the car was parked the sun came out. Stretched out before us was plenty of grass to run on so we took full advantage to [...]

Scissors and clippers

Mum finally flipped today and after weeks of drying us,  she decided we needed a haircut. Not just any trim around our feet but the full on No.2 followed by a bath. Usually we get away with a short trim but mum had purchased a professional fluff trimmer with plastic attachments. Once we had become [...]

Buster in the snow

Big excitement this morning as we ventured into the garden for our morning constitutional as all our sniffs had disappeared under a blanket of white stuff. Charlie chased the floaty flakes trying to grab them on his tongue whilst I tried to talk to it with a few well directed woofs. The flakes made no sound as [...]
