Mum has ordered us some new tags to be sewn onto our harnesses and these ones don’t make an awful clinking clanking noise when we move.
In the UK, The Control of Dogs Order 1992 states that “Any dog in a public place should wear the name and address of the owner either inscribed on the collar or a name plate or disc attached to it”.
This is also a requirement for dogs in Northern Ireland who are also required to carry their licence number tag.
Normal disc dog tags are generally designed to attach via a ring or clip to a collar but many dogs find the rattling annoying. Remember that the noise our humans hear is only a fraction of what we hear.
Our new tags from Doggie Solutions, are designed for agility work so they have a slot in each end allowing the tag to be slotted onto a collar or sewn onto a harness and they come in varying sizes and colours. Mum ordered medium ones.
Being fixed at either end, they are also much less likely to get caught and pull off.
Each tag costs under £5.00 with free postage, so they are very economical, especially if you have more than one harness. The order was processed very quickly and was with us in 2 days.
